Aim
‘Compass Project Management’s aim is to ensure the retail delivery process is a One Stop Shop, from the management of the project to the trading of the retailers.’
Compass is committed to act in a supportive role by assuring the continuity of liaison between the retailer and the shoppng centre owner from acceptance of offer through to the shop opening. We aim to deliver retail tenancies in a timely, safe and hassle free manner during the most important period of the project programme – as it nears completion
Team
Compass believes that to achieve outcomes, the right people must be employed to manage the task. Compass has a large base of professional and experienced tenancy coordinators, with over 25 years of experience. The retail delivery team has successfully dealt with a range of tenants, from large national entities, to independent ‘mum and dad’ traders.
Role Appreciation
Compass believe that the ingredients to the successful delivery of a tenancy are: (but not limited to),
- Communication - Implementation of a vigorous communication strategy providing clear direction and identifying the responsibilities of all key stakeholders.
- Programme/Procurement - Implement and review the project programme monitoring and reporting against all of the key stakeholders targets.
- Design - Assistance with Retail Design development and Major Tenant Design Management.
- Fit-out Guide - Work with the team to provide a standard guide, in order to integrate the retailer into the project.
- Authority Interfaces - Assist tenants when necessary with all authority approvals where required.
- Shop-fitter Management - Provide continuous support ensuring adequate induction, coordination and assistance through the fit-out period.
- Cat 1 Costs - Provide timely variation costs to the lessee / and assistance through the fit-out period.
- Main Project Integration - Managing and implementing Project Control Group meetings and reviews.
- Project Systems - Continually manage and report on Leasing status, retailer design/cost, and shop-fitter programmes.
- Cat 1 Works - Provide timely integration with the builder’s base building works
- Tenancy Handovers - Comply with centre managements pre-trade requirements ensuring the clients trading expectations are maintained (including follow up defects)
- Project Outcomes - Achieve in terms of design, cost and time while maintaining OH&S.
Summary
Whilst Compass maintains detailed procedures to satisfy the requirements of the retailer, centre management and leasing, we acknowledge that the final delivery is down to the people. This is where Compass seeks to make a difference, by employing trained professionals who know the business.
